Adv Dr Neelam Mansharamani’s 4th Book “God’s Child Chirag – Nurturing the Differently Abled” was released by Shri Ram Niwas Goyal, Hon’ble Speaker, Delhi Vidhan Sabha, in CM Conference Hall of Delhi Vidhan Sabha, Old Secretariat, Delhi, in the presence of a galaxy of eminent personalities.
The book was released jointly along with Shri Bhagwan Bhambhani (Ex-Director, BHEL), Ms Subha Rajan (Head of External Affairs, CII), Ms Rama Pandey (Eminent theatre personality, Delhi Doordarshan & BBC London), Prof Ravi Prakash Tekchandani, Director NCPSL, Ms Rekha Gupta (Member Film Festival of India), Mr Raj Kumar, Secretary, Vidhan Sabha, Mr Rameez Niaz, Naval Advisor, Pakistan High Commission and office bearers of Sindhi Samaj. Chief Guest lauded the Author of Book Dr Neelam Mansharamani, and her special child CHIRAG, being God’s creation, her accomplishments, and challenges, while throwing light on Lord Budha’s painting seen in the foregoing chapter of the book. Hon’ble Speaker also decorated her with another title of “Affectionate & Doting Mother”, while cherishing her noble mission. Not only he appreciated the great efforts made by Dr Neelam in upbringing her son, but also shared similar initiatives of Delhi Government for the cause of specially abled.
On this occasion, the main speakers were Prof Subha Rajan, (Head of External Affairs, CII), Ms Rama Pandey, a renowned theatre personality, besides Mr Bhambhani, who made special mention about Dr Neelam’s efforts of upbringing her Special Child Chirag and her multi-faceted accomplishments, despite being a single mother. Dr Neelam Mansharamani is a popular figure and true inspiration specially for women folk, and always keeps smiling in odd & difficult times of life. Her major accomplishments include a specialized course on upbringing & training specially abled children “Child Brain Development Course” from USA, and pursuit for securing higher qualifications viz. MBA, Phd, LLB.
She has a passion for singing Bhajans, Sufi & Bollywood songs and is also an Artist (Oil on Canvas, with more than 120 exhibitions to her credit). She has been decorated with more than 110 awards, a Bronze Medal at ASIAD 82, Mother Teresa Ratna Award, AAI Special Award, Sindhu Ratna, Women’s Day, Mother’s Day Award, to name a few & many others.
In her speech for concluding remarks, Dr Neelam thanked the Hon’ble Speaker for having graced the occasion by releasing her book. She gracefully acknowledged the presence of all other speakers on the dais, and thanked all the guests present on this solemn occasion on release of her book, coupled with Chirag’s birthday, and became emotional while explaining her backdrop of her journey, which continues with struggle and joy. Dr Neelam made an appeal to the guests to purchase the book as the proceeds of the sale would be utilized for the help and services for the differently abled.
