brutal murder of Atiq Ahmad and his brother Ashraf Ahmad in police custody
Mushawarat demands impartial judicial inquiry under SC monitoring Committee
New Delhi: All India Muslim Majlis e Mushawarat (AIMMM), the Confederation of prominent Muslim organisations & renowned individuals, strongly condemns the brutal and sponsored murder of Atiq Ahmad and his brother Ashraf Ahmad in police custody by rightwing goons who had raised “Jai Shree Ram” slogans after killings them right under the nose of UP police and joins all who believes in rule of law in condemning the laxity and seemingly connivance of UP administration in this cold-blooded murder.
The brutal killing of former Member of Parliament has raised a number of questions about deterorioating law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh which has indeed reached to the point of anarchy and needs the urgent attention of the Hon'ble President of India and also requires suo-motto cognizance of the gruesome inculedent incident by the Hon'ble Supreme Court, including the constituting the supreme court monitored Inquiry Commission to unearth the facual conspiracy behind the extra-judicial murder.
It is also surprising that the UP administration has suspended only accompanying low-level policemen for dereliction of duty instead of suspending the higher officer for their casual planning for the safety of the murdered.
It is also important to point that any inquiry under the supervision of local men will be a futile and a farce exercise to do only "leepa-pauti".
It is pertinent to mention that the echo of the agenda statement of "Mitti mien Mila Denge" of CM Yogi Adityanath cannot be ignored in current circumstances; and also the timing of Atiq Ahmad's murder also seems to be a political conspiracy to polarize the society to gain political mileage in the coming local bodies elections, as the intentions can be gauged from the incidents of bursting of fire crackers by the workers of ruling dispersion at different locations in Uttar Pradesh after the incident of guroesome murder.
