GTTCI and Religare Group celebrated International Day of UN Peacekeepers Day 2023 with diplomats of 17 countries
The program commenced with a grand Dias Decoration ceremony, where Ambassadors, Diplomats, and panelists were warmly welcomed to the stage by Dr. Rashmi Saluja, Executive Chairperson of Religare Group and Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President - GTTCI.

New Delhi, India – the Global Trade & Technology Council India (GTTCI) joined forces with Religare Group to organize the prestigious International Day for UN Peacekeepers 2023. The event took place at the elegant Radisson Blu Marina in Connaught Place, New Delhi, and welcomed distinguished Ambassadors and Diplomats from various countries.
Esteemed guests, including Ambassadors from the Embassy of Syria, Ethiopia, Myanmar, Lesotho, and Guinea, along with Diplomats from the Embassy of Russia, Brazil, Belarus, South Sudan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Palestine, and Rwanda, graced the occasion with their presence.
The purpose of this event was to honor the invaluable contributions and sacrifices made by peacekeepers, as well as pay tribute to those who have lost their lives while serving on the front lines of peacekeeping missions. It provided an opportunity to express deep gratitude for their relentless efforts in establishing and maintaining peace in some of the world's most challenging and perilous environments.

Mr. K L Malhotra followed with a thought-provoking oration on the significance of the International Day of UN Peacekeepers. The Keynote Address was eloquently delivered by Dr. Rashmi Saluja, who emphasized the importance of celebrating the achievements of UN peacekeepers and reiterated Religare Group's commitment to collaborating with GTTCI to address global challenges.
A captivating panel discussion ensued, featuring diverse perspectives from participating Ambassadors, Diplomats, and Special Guests Shri Rakesh Asthana - Former Commissioner of Delhi Police, Former Director General of Border Security Force (BSF), Former Director General of Narcotics Control Bureau, Director General of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), Special Director of CBI and Dr Ashwani Mehta, Chief Surgeon and Medical Director, Kolmet Hospital. The panel focused on the theme for 2023, "Peace begins with me." The Peace Begins with Me campaign recognizes the unwavering dedication and sacrifices of United Nations peacekeepers, both past and present, and acknowledges the resilience of the communities they serve.
During the enlightening panel discussion, the Ambassador of Syria highlighted the crucial importance of learning from past conflicts, while the Excellency of Lesotho stressed the urgency of creating conditions that render peacekeeping unnecessary. Each diplomat shared insights into their respective countries' roles and contributions to UN Peacekeeping operations.
In a gesture of appreciation, Dr. Rashmi Saluja and Dr. Gaurav Gupta felicitated the Ambassadors, Diplomats, Panelists, and Special Guests for their outstanding contributions to the event's success. The evening drew to a close with a heartfelt vote of thanks, followed by a delightful Hi-Tea and an opportunity for networking and camaraderie.
