Grand Job Fair successfully organized at Jamia Hamdard New Delhi

Absolutely free One stop selection for corporates and unemployed youth

New Delhi, Saturday 25, 2023: Today, the Business and Employment Bureau (BEB) in association with Jamia Hamdard and Association for Muslim Professionals (AMP) organized a FREE MEGA JOB FAIR at JAMIA HAMDARD CONVENTION CENTER, New Delhi for youth above 18 years. In the inauguration of this program, Mr. Imran Hussain, Minister in the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi, Dr. Afsar Alam, Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard University, Mr. Zakir Khan, Chairman of Delhi Minorities Commission, National Head of AMP Mr. Farooq A. Siddique Sahab, Executive Secretary of BEB Mufti Shaukat Sahab, Khwaja Sahab and Madam Nancy Barlio participated in this program.

Mufti Shaukat Sahab told us about the aim behind this Job fair. He said this is the blessed work of Janab Hakeem Abdul Hamid Sahab we are carrying forward. Hamid sahab formed a society for this noble work. This work is going on since 1972. Mufti Shaukat Sahab told us that our aim is to save the youth of the country from stumbling door to door for employment. What can be better than the youth getting their favorite company and work at one place and the companies getting their favorite employee in one place. This auspicious work of Mr. Hakim Abdul Hamid was also praised by the then Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi.

Mufti Shaukat Sahab further told us that apart from job fair, we are also going to conduct about 18 job oriented courses here. Its MOU has been got done with the Vice Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard University, Dr. Afsar Alam Saheb. We are going to start free coaching for NIIT. It will be a course of 40 days. We are also going to conduct a 3-month certificate forensic science course for 10+2 students and after completing this forensic course, the youth will be helped to join the police service for identification of criminals.

Job Fair has been organized fifth time in Jamia Hamdard for the 10th, 12th, graduate, post graduate students. When the Governor of the Government of Kerala noticed the workmanship of the girls of our institute, the Governor appreciated our work and said that Mufti Sahab, you have done a very good job by connecting these girls with work. Poor children cannot go far to get jobs due to financial and other reasons, and many children become victims of depression and inferiority complex. When Mufti Shaukat Sahab was asked what was your expectation from this event. He told that we are very happy to inform this and for this we also congratulate our colleagues and let me tell you that more than 100 companies have opened their counters here for employment and are doing recruitment. About 10000 job seekers are looking for jobs according to their qualification.

He further told that just like there is Mohalla Clinic Center in Delhi, similarly we want to open Mohalla Job Center in the whole country. When the intention is clear, then you can definitely win over unemployment. He further told that when the bad times of Covid were going on and people were worried about ration, our organizations had done a lot of charity work and what we are doing today is also another kind of charity.

When our correspondent asked Mr. Farooque A. Siddiqui Saheb about this event, he told that AMP is doing this work for the last 15 years. His organisation is helping the unemployed to get jobs by conducting job drives and job fairs at various places in the country. He said that till now we have organized 74 job fairs in these 15 years. More than 100 companies have come here and thousands of children have come for jobs. By matching the profile and bio-data of the children, according to the requirement of the company, we are conducting job interviews in more than 100 companies on a single platform. It is a joint effort of all the people. This is a golden opportunity for both unemployed youth and companies. One stop selection, that too absolutely free.

At last we took information from Mr. Anwar Khurshid, the founder of Nai Zindagi Trust, then he told us that this grand fair has been successful due to the untiring efforts of National Head of AMP Mr. Farooque Siddiqui and Executive Secretary of BEB, Mufti Shaukat Sahab. I remember when earlier we could not control the children in the job fair, but this time everything is going on in a planned way, it is a matter of great pleasure.
