Land Free of Nuclear Weapons

New Delhi, April 28, 2014: We all love to live in peace; we are delighted when we enjoy the essence of humanity, we really develop ourselves more effectively, when we blossom and pondered with love of nature.
What is there that obstruct us from developing us fully in lap of nature. It may has many reasons, but Natural Disasters like earthquakes and tsunami are characterized by the fact its threat posed by nuclear weapons.
In its 1996 Advisory Opinion on the legality of the Threat or use of Nuclear Weapons, the International Court of Justice warned: “The destructive power of nuclear weapons cannot be contained in either space or time. They have the potential to destroy all civilization and the entire ecosystem of the planet.” Even the United Nation has confirmed that: “It is in the interest of the very survival of humanity that nuclear weapons are never used again, under any circumstances.”
By gaining power of Nuclear Weapons, if we are powerful, then such power are insane for humanity. We should be fully aware of impact on masses of innocent people and loss of humanity by use of such weapons. If we really cannot make best efforts in spreading peace from where we are then we must pray for more groups should emerge and take forward multilateral nuclear disarmament negotiations for the achievement and maintenance of a world without nuclear weapons.
SGI President Ikeda writes, “If we were unable to deal with radiation released from a single nuclear reactor, how would it be possible to deal with radioactive contamination unleashed by nuclear detonations.”
We all should unite together to work for building our world free from such weapons. If the young people throughout the world unite in the determination that our humanity cannot co-exist with these weapons, then we will definitely achieved something.
