3rd MS Swaminathan Global Leadership Award 2024 declared

New Delhi, August 06, 2024 : MS Swaminathan Global Award for Sustainable Development, instituted in the year 2022 by Agriculture Today Group in the name of the noted scientist and Pioneer of India’s Green Revolution, Prof. Swaminathan, has been formally announced today in New Delhi.
And the winner for this year’s award is Prof. Lindiwe Majele Sibanda, Chairperson, CGIAR System Board. While congratulating Prof. Sibanda for the Award for her outstanding role in advancing the cause of global food security and sustainable development, Dr. MJ Khan, President, Agriculture Today Group said that she is beacon of hope for millions of farmers around the world, and especially those in Africa.
Special thanks to Justice P Sathasivam for chairing the Jury and Dr. Soumya Swaminathan for hosting the program. The award ceremony, as part of the two day agriculture conference, takes place on August 7 at MSSRF, Chennai, India, on the birthday of Dr Swaminathan.
