The Vietnam-India Economic & Cultural Exchange Forum served as a significant milestone in fostering stronger ties and collaborations between the two nations.
New Delhi, August 3, 2023 : The Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations and the Global Trade & Technology Council (India) jointly organized the Vietnam-India Economic & Cultural Exchange Forum on August 3, 2023, at the Welcom Hotel by ITC in Dwarka, New Delhi. The forum was held with the objective of strengthening the bilateral ties between Vietnam and India and promoting economic and cultural cooperation between the two nations.
The event witnessed a grand gathering of over 100 delegates from Vietnam, supported by the Trade Office of the Embassy of Vietnam. The delegates participated in various sessions aimed at fostering mutual understanding and collaboration between the two countries.
The forum commenced with an enthralling Indian Cultural fashion show, curated by the talented Rosy Ahluwalia, showcasing the vibrant diversity of India's traditional attire. Additionally, various Indian dance performances captivated the audience and highlighted the rich cultural heritage of India.
The representatives present at the event emphasized the remarkable progress in the Vietnam-India relationship, which has evolved over more than 50 years of comprehensive strategic partnership. Both nations are committed to a "Common Vision of Peace, Prosperity, and People," which has been reflected in their cooperation across seven main pillars: Political relations, defense and security partnerships, economic partnerships, development partnerships, technology partnerships, people-to-people exchanges, and cultural exchanges, as well as regional and multilateral cooperation.
Distinguished guests who graced the occasion included Mr. Bui Trung Thuong – Vietnam Trade Counselor in India, and Mr. Tran Van Manh - Vice President of UNESCO Asia Pacific Federation. On the Indian side, Dr. Gaurav Gupta, President of the Global Trade and Technology Council India, was present, along with members of the Standing Committee and Executive Committee, and various leaders and officials from Vietnam-India agencies and units.
Mr. Tran Van Manh delivered the opening speech, emphasizing the importance of strengthening economic and cultural ties between Vietnam and India. This was followed by an address from Dr. Gaurav Gupta, who expressed his commitment to further enhance trade and technological collaborations between the two nations.
As part of the forum, GTTCI members proudly exhibited "Made in India" products, showcasing the technological prowess and manufacturing capabilities of India's businesses.
The event also featured a commendation Honor Ceremony, where outstanding intellectuals, scientists, social activists, entrepreneurs, businesses, and brands from the Asia Pacific region, particularly Vietnam, were recognized for their contributions to global development. The list of eminent awardees included Dr. Rashmi Saluja, Dr. Upasana Arora, Mr. Dhiraj Dhar Gupta, Dr. Ram Kailash Gupta, Mr. Ghanshyam Zaveri, Mr. Vinay Sharma, Dr. Pawan Kansal, Dr. Piyush Dwivedi, Mr. Munish Mishra, and Ms. Pienaal Waankhaday.
The Vietnam-India Economic & Cultural Exchange Forum witnessed notable participation from Mr. Rakesh Asthana, Former Commissioner of Delhi Police along with GTTCI members and associates, including Dr. Parmeet Singh Chadha, Mr. Sanjay Agarwal, Mr. Jitender Chawla, Mr. Shubham Gupta, Mr. Umesh Aggarwal, Ms. Priyanka Sachdeva, Ms. Neha Talwar, Mr. Sumit Goel, and Mr. Shantanu Shukla.
