As the post pandemic era invites events taking place offline and in-person, another lively International Art exhibition titled ‘Visual Rhythms’ took place in Lalit Kala Akademi, Mandi house. Organised by Dr.Bharti Sharma Artist and color therapist,the exhibition is a concoction of cultures from around the world with 8 artists belonging to different countries like, South Korea, Trinidad and Tobago, Indo-Russia and India. The participating artists were Bharti Sharma, (Katrina) Junghwa Kim, Anita Gopaul, Swagatika Mohanty, Harsh Inder Loomba, Beenu Gupta, Shishiir Saawant and Estiyak Ali.
The exhibition dates from 6th November to 12th November. On 6th November, a colorful inauguration took place at 4 pm with the chief guests embracing the tradition of lighting a lamp. As the chief guests, H .E .Dr. Roger Gopaul (Ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago) was invited and as the guests of Honor, Shri Ramakrishna Vedala (Secretory Lalit Kala Akademi), Mr. Gaurav Gupta (Founder & President of lions club Delhi veg and Founder of GTTCI)and Jitesh Khanna (Writer and Entrepreneur and Art Enthusiast) were there and honored the exhibition with their presence. Lighting the lamp and capturing the moments in photos, this ritual persists the tradition of the gallery exhibition. Director General of National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) Mr. Adwaita Gadayanak graced the occasion in an unforeseen surprise visit, interacting with the artists and appreciating the ongoing progress of art community.
An estimate of five hundred people came by and fancied the paintings exhibited. The paintings ranged from abstract to figurative to realistic giving an insight of the art and the artists both. The artworks brought the walls to life as art usually does, creating an interactive and imaginative space altogether. The exhibition exuded a lively and authentic aura of many cultures co-existing as well as their creations. It spread the international connection of artists and people belonging to various fields, united in the gallery.
After the lighting of lamp, a number of people talked about the paintings and gave their opinions to media in forms of interviews. Along with photos and embedding the charm of the moment. With that, people discussed amongst themselves about the paintings and their impact in the gallery. Lalit Kala Akademi was once again charmed by the exhibition which brought motion to the place along with other events, maintaining a cultural ritual of spreading art and it’s contagious importance.
