Workshop on Menstrual hygiene by Sadhu Vaswani International School
The Interact club of Sadhu Vaswani International School for girls in collaboration with Bravehearts, an NGO and My Cara, a women driven enterprise organised a workshop on Menstrual Hygiene in the school auditorium.

The purpose of this event was to create awareness on menstrual hygiene and the importance of using environment friendly sanitary pads. The team which came to the school included Ms Sarah D Rawat, Director of Indian Bravehearts, Mr Vaibhav Tripathi and Ms Jyoti Sharma, Co- founders of My Cara, an enterprise committed to providing sustainable sanitary products at affordable rates and Ms Teeya Kapoor, a student volunteer. The team had an interactive session with the students and further encouraged them to be a part of the sustainable cause through the use of eco-friendly sanitary pads and break stigmas around the subject of menstruation.
In her address to the students, the Principal, Ms Santosh Vyas reiterated the need to follow healthy menstrual practices and to do away with the myths and taboos associated with menstruation. The students actively took part in the discussions in the workshop and shared their experiences and issues regarding the topic. The students of the interact club made posters and essays on ‘Menstrual Hygiene’ which was shown to the students as a part of the program.
The aspirational Interact club team of Sadhu Vaswani International School for girls made this event a success under the leadership of Yutika Abichandani (President), Benita Kaur (Vice President), Mehak Makol (Secretary), Nancy Rao (Photography Vice-Captain), the senior school students of the club - Anoushka Singh, Arshdeep Kaur, Mehak Mehlawat, Vanshika Dogra, Hanisha Tokas, Tanya Singh and Ms Smita B Nair, Incharge of the Interact Club.
