10 countries participate in International Day for People of African Descent

New Delhi, August 31, 2023: The Global Trade & Technology Council (India) hosted a commemorative event in honor of the International Day for People of African Descent on August 31, 2023. The event took place at the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in New Delhi, India. His Excellency Mr. Demeke Atnafu, Ambassador of Ethiopia, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor.

The celebrations commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Gaurav Gupta, the Founder President of GTTCI. Mr. KL Malhotra, another prominent figure, followed with introductory remarks, setting the stage for the event's proceedings.

The highlight of the event was the keynote address delivered by Ambassador Demeke Atnafu. His insightful speech was followed by brief remarks from diplomats and ambassadors in attendance. Notable dignitaries present included His Excellency Mr. Ali Achoui, Ambassador of Algeria; His Excellency Mr. Andrei, Ambassador of Belarus; His Excellency Mr. Clemente Camenha, Ambassador of Angola; and Mr. Thomas from the Embassy of South Sudan, among others. Diplomatic representatives from Rwanda, Eritrea, Ukraine, and Gambia also graced the occasion.

As a gesture of goodwill, a unique artwork titled "Glory of G20" was presented to the attending ambassadors, symbolizing unity among G20 nations. Furthermore, the event witnessed the unveiling of the cover for the August edition of GTTCI's monthly newsletter, GTTC Insights.

The celebration featured captivating Indian cultural performances, showcasing the rich diversity of the nation. Members of GTTCI actively participated and contributed to the event's success.
