The suspects, who had posed as religious men seeking donations, allegedly snatched the chain from Usha Kumari before fleeing in a vehicle. Police immediately swung into action, and within hours, the accused were intercepted at Baggar Naka, nearly 30 km from the spot.

The stolen chain was recovered and the accused — all residents of Jalandhar, Punjab — were taken into custody. They were later identified by the victim.

SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta, appreciated the prompt response of his team and urged the public to stay vigilant and report suspicious activities for ensuring community safety.
