Anantnag, June 14 : Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, met the bereaved family of martyr Syed Adil Hussain in Anantnag today. During his visit, he personally handed over the government appointment letter to Mst. Gulnaz Akhter, the widow of the late martyr, on compassionate grounds under the SRO-43 scheme.
Syed Adil Hussain, a brave personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police, laid down his life while safeguarding tourists during a terror attack at Pahalgam on April 22. His sacrifice has been widely lauded across the nation.
The appointment has been made in the Fisheries Department as a token of the administration’s commitment to honouring the supreme sacrifice made by Adil Hussain.LG Sinha expressed heartfelt condolences and assured the family of continued support.
“The entire nation is proud of Adil’s valour. His courage and dedication will continue to inspire generations,” he stated.The gesture highlights the government’s stand to stand firmly with the families of martyrs and ensure their rehabilitation with dignity.
