The scheme, which has emerged as a cornerstone of the Modi Government’s pro-farmer agenda, continues to deliver timely and transparent support to the nation’s “Annadatas.”

A district-level awareness and outreach programme was organized with enthusiasm at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Doda, where farmers, agricultural stakeholders, and officials gathered to witness the live telecast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s national address from Varanasi. On this occasion, the Hon’ble Prime Minister disbursed ₹20,500 crore directly into the bank accounts of over 9.7 crore farmers via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), reinforcing the power of Digital India in public welfare.

He particularly emphasized the importance of completing e-KYC to ensure seamless receipt of future installments.Addressing the gathering, Chairman DDC Doda, Sh. He lauded KVK Doda for its proactive farmer engagement in remote areas and appreciated the overwhelming participation despite harsh weather conditions. He also commended CAO Sh. Amjad Hussain and the Agriculture Department team for their efforts in organizing the programme smoothly and noted the CAO’s heartfelt vote of thanks to all dignitaries, farmers, and BRFFPCL members who turned up in large numbers, calling it a testament to the deep-rooted trust in the government’s efforts.

To maximize outreach, similar PM-Kisan awareness programmes were held simultaneously across all Agriculture Department offices in Doda district, turning the day into a district-wide celebration of farmer empowerment.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while releasing the 20th installment from Varanasi, called farmers the backbone of India’s economy, reaffirming that their welfare remains the topmost priority of the government. Since its launch in 2019, over ₹3.69 lakh crore has been disbursed under PM-Kisan, making it one of the most far-reaching and impactful welfare programmes in Indian history.

With visionary leadership at the Centre and committed local implementation, the PM-Kisan scheme continues to empower rural India, boost farmer incomes, and reinforce the foundation of a self-reliant agricultural economy.

The programme concluded with a group photograph of all dignitaries and farmers at KVK Doda, symbolizing unity, resilience, and collective aspiration for a prosperous rural future.
