Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un (انا للہ وانا الیہ راجعون)
We deeply mourn the passing of Mr. Jilani Khan, Resident Editor of the Urdu daily Inquilab, who left us on September 5, 2025, at the age of 45 after a prolonged illness. A native of Ban Tara, District Gaya (Bihar), he was a respected journalist whose fearless pursuit of truth and justice made a lasting impact on Urdu journalism.
Known for his integrity and unwavering dedication to ethical reporting, Mr. Khan was a beacon of trustworthy journalism. His work gave voice to the unheard and held power to account with clarity and courage. Jilani Saheb will be remembered for his professional excellence. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family. May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his noble deeds and grant him a place in Jannah. Ameen.
