Meeting between Traders and Traffic Police Officers Regarding Sadar Bazaar Traffic Jam
In view of the festive season, DCP Traffic Center Range Nishant Gupta called a meeting with traders to discuss traffic issues. Inspector Sudhir TI, SBC, along with several traffic officers and business leaders, including Paramjit Singh Pamma, President of Sadar Bazaar Bari Market Traders Association, Tony of Azad Market Crockery Market, Naresh Mahajan, President of Azad Market, and trade leader Harjeet Singh Chhabra, along with numerous other traders, informed the DCP about the traffic problems in Sadar Bazaar and Azad Market.
On this occasion, Paramjit Singh Pamma informed DCP Nishant Gupta that the MCD has provided parking from Sadar Bazaar Police Station to 12 Tooti Chowk, where two or three lines of vehicles are parked, causing daily traffic jams.
Furthermore, e-rickshaws block all the intersections in Sadar Bazaar and Azad Market. He requested the DCP to ensure traffic police presence at Pick Aver, Mithai Pul Chowk, 12 Tooti, Sadar Police Station, Qutub Road, and Teliwara from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This will solve many problems in the future.
Paramjit Singh Pamma stated that due to the upcoming festivals, the crowds of shoppers in the markets will increase. To address this, more traffic police personnel should be deployed.
On this occasion, DCP Nishant Gupta assured the traders that he would resolve their problems soon and that more traffic police personnel would be deployed in the market after Dussehra. He also urged the traders not to park their vehicles on the roads and that he would deploy traffic officers at every intersection in the morning and evening.
