Tribute paid to Martyr Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary. Senior business leader and National Akali Dal President Paramjit Singh Pamma stated that while paying tribute, traders and social workers demanded the government grant martyr status to the revolutionaries who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence. Business leader Deepak Mittal, Senior Vice President of Sadar Bazar Bari Market Trades Association Varinder Arya, Sunil Puri, Tarun Soni, Shekhar Kataria, Gangadhar, and many other businessmen were present on the occasion.
On this occasion, under the leadership of Paramjit Singh Pamma, traders, after paying tribute, also raised slogans such as “Inquilab Zindabad,” “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” and “Give martyr status to the revolutionaries.”
Recalling the sacrifices of Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Rajguru, and Sukhdev, Paramjit Singh Pamma said that there are many revolutionaries who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence. But it is very sad that they have not even been given the status of martyr till date.
Paramjit Singh Pamma Pamma said that it is very sad that even after so much time since independence, those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country have not been given the status of martyr nor have their families received any government assistance.
He demanded that the government should give the status of martyr to the revolutionaries who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country. This will be an important step in their memory and will inspire future generations. And it can play an important role in promoting the spirit of patriotism and uniting the people.
