Meeting of IMPAR Delegation with CM Dhami*.

An 11 member IMPAR delegation met the Uttarakhand chief minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami in Dehradun today and apprised him of the deep concerns of the Muslim community nationwide on the recent happenings in the State, where it has been subjected to targeted actions. The delegation, while congratulating the CM for banning the Mahapanchayats, asked for actions against the miscreants, who are giving open calls against Muslims. The CM assured for strict actions in cases of lapses or excesses and agreed to regular meetings with religious leaders and intellectual groups to bridge the trust deficit. The delegation later held meetings with Muslim groups to assess the ground situation and taking things forward. The members included Dr. Khwaja Iftekhar, Syed Naseeruddin Chisty, Major Mohammad Ali Shah, Feroz Khan Ghazi, Yusuf Ansari, MQ Hasan Beg, Dr. MJ Khan, Ashraf Bastavi, Ghulam Najmi Farooqui, Ali Manzar Aijaz and Mohammad Ahmed among others.
11 सदस्यीय IMPAR प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने आज देहरादून में उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी से मुलाकात की और उन्हें राज्य में हाल की घटनाओं पर देश भर में मुस्लिम समुदाय की गहरी चिंताओं से अवगत कराया, जहाँ उन्हें निशाना बनाया गया है। प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने महापंचायतों पर रोक लगाने के लिए सीएम को बधाई देते हुए मुसलमानों के खिलाफ खुला आह्वान करने वाले उपद्रवियों पर कार्रवाई की मांग कीI सीएम ने चूक या ज्यादती के मामलों में सख्त कार्रवाई का आश्वासन दिया और विश्वास की कमी को दूर करने के लिए धार्मिक नेताओं और बौद्धिक समूहों के साथ नियमित बैठकें करने पर सहमति व्यक्त की। प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने बाद में जमीनी स्थिति का आकलन करने और चीजों को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए मुस्लिम समूहों के साथ बैठकें कीं। सदस्यों में डॉ. ख्वाजा इफ्तिखार, सैयद नसीरुद्दीन चिश्ती, मेजर मोहम्मद अली शाह, फिरोज खान गाजी, यूसुफ अंसारी, एमक्यू हसन बेग, डॉ. एमजे खान, अशरफ बस्तावी, गुलाम नजमी फारूकी, अली मंजर एजाज और मोहम्मद अहमद शामिल थे।
