RICHNESS OF THE HEART 
 

The Holy Prophet ﷺ had said: “Richness does not lie in the abundance of (worldly) goods but real richness is the richness of the heart.” (Sahih Muslim, Book 12, Hadith 157). 
 
Hazrat Fakhrul Arefin (II) Mawlana Abdul Hai (Qaddas Allahu Sirrahu) said that one must look to do works for the dunya (world) under the veil of deen (faith) but one must never look to do works for the deen under the veil (parda) of the dunya (world). 
 
The shaykh explained that having money will not affect wilayat (sainthood). There were prophets who were kings while some prophets had little, but there was no difference in their prophethood. The same way, having money does not affect wilayat (sainthood) as long as the person’s intentions are clean. The shaykh recommended that one must not save all his money but one must also not spend all his money, but rather a person should take the middle approach.
 
Our great grand shaykh, Hazrat Shah Imdad Ali (Qaddas Allahu Sirrahu) had businesses and wealth. His outward (zahir) was involved in the business, but his inward (batin) was always at the door of his Lord. His sons also had wealth, but he never took their help and lived his life on his own work and effort. 
 
Hazrat Mawlana Abdul Hai (Qaddas Allahu Sirrahu) encouraged excellence in deen (religion) and dunya (world).  He said that if a person cannot arrange his affairs in this world, then how can we expect him to arrange his affairs for the afterlife.  
 
The shaykh said that the mureed (disciple) who follows the way of our mashaykh (spiritual masters) will not only obtain fakiri (sainthood) but he or she will also be protected from poverty and will not be dependent on others for their livelihood.

दिल की दौलत
 
 रसूलल्लाह ﷺ ने फरमाया: " दौलत दुनिया के सामान की कसरत में नहीं है, बल्कि हक़ीक़ी दौलत दिल की दौलत है।"  (सहीह मुस्लिम, किताब 12, हदीस 157)।
 
 हज़रत फख़रुल आरेफीन (द्वितीय) मौलाना अब्दुल हई (क़द्दस अल्लाहू सिर्राहु) ने फरमाया कि इन्सान को दीन के पर्दे में दुनिया के लिए काम करना चाहिए, लेकिन इन्सान को कभी भी दीन के काम को दुनिया के पर्दे में नहीं करना चाहिए।
 
आप ने समझाया कि पैसा होने से विलायत पर कोई असर नहीं पड़ता।  ऐसे नबी भी गुज़रे हैं जो अपने दौर में बादशाह थे जबकि कुछ नबी ऐसे भी गुज़रे हैं जिनके पास बहुत कम दौलत थी, लेकिन उनकी नबूवत में कोई फर्क़ नहीं पड़ा।  उसी तरह, दौलत होने से विलायत पर तब तक कोई फर्क़ नहीं पड़ता, जब तक कि  इन्सान के इरादे साफ हों। आप ने नसीहत फरमाई कि इन्सान को अपना सारा पैसा नहीं बचाना चाहिए, और न ही अपना सारा पैसा खर्च करते रहना चाहिए, बल्कि एक इन्सान को दरमियाना रवैया रखना चाहिए।
 
 हमारे बड़े शेख़, हज़रत शाह इमदाद अली (क़द्दास अल्लाहु सिर्राहु) के पास कारोबार और दौलत थी। आपका ज़ाहिर कारोबार में शामिल था, लेकिन आपका बातिन हमेशा अपने रब की चौखट पर था।  आपके औलादों के पास भी दौलत थी, लेकिन आपने कभी उनकी मदद नहीं ली और अपने काम और मेहनत पर अपनी ज़िंदगी गुज़ारी।
 
 हज़रत मौलाना अब्दुल हई (क़द्दस अल्लाहू सिर्राहु) ने दीन (धर्म) और दुनिया में उत्कृष्टता को प्रोत्साहित किया। आपने फरमाया कि अगर कोई इन्सान इस दुनिया में अपने मामलों की व्यवस्था नहीं कर सकता है, तो हम उससे कैसे उम्मीद कर सकते हैं कि वह अपने ज़िंदगी के बाद के मामलों की व्यवस्था कर पाएगा।
 
 आपने फरमाया कि जो मुरीद (शिष्य) हमारे मशयख़ के नख़्शे क़दम पर चलेगा, वह न केवल फक़ीरी प्राप्त करेगा, बल्कि वह ग़ुरबत से भी महफूज़ रहेगा और अपनी रोज़ी रोटी के लिए दूसरों पर निर्भर नहीं होगा।
