TRANSPORT MINISTER SHRI DAYA SHANKAR JI CLOSES THE NATIONAL DEAF JUDO CHAMPIONSHIP U.P. DEAF JUDOKAS WIN THE JUNIOR RUNNERS UP TROPHY AND 2 BEST JUDOKA AWARD.
The 11th National Blind Judo Championships was declared closed today by the Chief Guest, Shri Daya Shankar ji, Transport Minister, U.P. Government, at the Badminton Hall, K.D. Singh Babu Stadium, Lucknow.
The Chief Guest was welcomed by Shri Awanish Kumar Awasthi, Founder Chairman, Shri Mukesh Kumar Meshram, President, and by Shri Munawar Anzar, Founder Secretary of the Indian Blind and Para Judo Association.
Mr. Daya Shankar ji appreciated the work being done in the field of Para Judo by the Indian Blind and Para Judo Association. He also declared that the state government would treat the blind and deaf players and the para players at par with the normal players of the state, and will get all the facilities, cash awards etc, just like their normal counterparts.
Mr. Daya Shankar ji gave away the medals, best Judoka trophy and the Deaf Judo Trophy to the winners .
In the sub junior group, Rajasthan won the first place with 04 Gold, 05 Silver and 03 Bronze medal, while Uttar Pradesh stood second with 04 Gold (Abhay, Sidra Khan, Palak, Huma Bano), 04 Silver (Krishan Pandey, Uzaif Khan, Deepshikha Gupta, Dishi Pandey) and 05Bronze Medals (Priyanshu Pal, Paj Pal, Ayan Alam, Vertika Verma, Khushi Singh.
In the junior group, Haryana won the first place with 03 Gold, 03 Silver and 03 Bronze medal, while Punjab stood second with 02 Gold, 02 Silver and 05 Bronze Medals.
In the senior group, Maharashtra won the first place with 04 Gold, 02 Silver and 04 Bronze medal, while Haryana stood second with 04 Gold and 02 Silver Medals .Also present on this occasion were Mr. Prakash D, I.P.S. and Senior Vice President, U.P.
