JK August 27 (ITN) : Security forces detained five suspected Over Ground Workers (OGWs) during a joint search operation in the Bugam Orchard area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials said.
The operation was carried out by teams from Kulgam Police, 9 Rashtriya Rifles and the 18th Battalion of the CRPF.
According to officials, the search led to the recovery of four 9mm pistols along with four magazines, 22 rounds of ammunition and two hand grenades.
The detained individuals are currently being questioned as investigators work to determine the source of the recovered weapons and their alleged links. Further investigation is in progress, officials said.
