Dr. Gaurav Gupta Conferred with Delhi Gaurav Samman

Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President – Global Trade & Technology Council (India) (GTTCI), was conferred with the Delhi Gaurav Samman at a ceremony organised by Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha on 9 August 2026 at the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya & Library, New Delhi. The honour recognises his contribution to advancing international trade, technology, investment and global economic cooperation.

The first edition of the Delhi Gaurav Samman brought together eminent personalities from diverse fields in recognition of their distinguished contributions to society and to the national capital. The initiative builds upon the tradition of honours such as the Bharat Gaurav, Rajasthan Gaurav and Mumbai Gaurav Samman.

Dr. Gaurav Gupta received the award from Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of Law and Justice, Government of India, who attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest. The occasion was also attended by Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal “Nishank”, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and former Union Minister of Education, and Shri Kalraj Mishra, former Governor of Rajasthan.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal underlined the importance of recognising individuals whose work contributes to the development and standing of Delhi and the nation. He noted that such recognition provides encouragement to achievers and inspires the younger generation to contribute meaningfully in their respective fields.

Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal “Nishank” observed that recognition of accomplished individuals is an important social responsibility, as it highlights meaningful contributions and creates role models for the younger generation. Shri Kalraj Mishra also acknowledged the role of Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha in promoting Indian cultural values and engaging young people with the country’s cultural heritage.

The Delhi Gaurav Samman also reflects the growing importance of recognising contributions that connect India with the wider global community. Dr. Gaurav Gupta has been associated with initiatives aimed at strengthening India’s international economic engagement through trade promotion, technology partnerships, investment facilitation, business delegations, diplomatic dialogues and institutional collaborations.

Under Dr. Gaurav Gupta’s leadership, GTTCI has developed a broad platform connecting businesses, investors, institutions, foreign missions and international stakeholders across sectors. The Council works to facilitate India’s engagement with global markets and to create opportunities for trade, technology transfer, investment and strategic economic partnerships.

The recognition was presented alongside honours to distinguished personalities from the fields of culture, public service, business, healthcare, education, media, technology, law, defence, social development and other areas. The ceremony brought together eminent representatives from different walks of public and professional life.

Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha President Pt. Suresh Mishra highlighted the organisation’s long-standing initiatives in cultural and social spheres, including the Jaipur Marathon, Bharat Gaurav Samman and other programmes aimed at connecting youth with Indian culture and encouraging social responsibility.
