Hundreds of traders gathered at the Qutub Road Chowk of Sadar Bazar and protested against the tariff imposed by America on Indian industries under the leadership of Federation of Sadar Bazar Trades Association Chairman Paramjit Singh Pamma and President Rakesh Yadav.
On this occasion, the traders were holding banners in their hands which read, “Withdraw the tariff policy, America should stop dictatorship”, and were also raising slogans like these.
On this occasion, Pamma and Rakesh Yadav said that this tariff policy of America is harmful for Indian industries and it will have a negative impact on the trade relations between the two countries.
On this occasion, Paramjit Singh Pamma and Rakesh Yadav said that goods worth crores of rupees are lying ready in the Indian industry as per the orders given by America. For which the American traders have even given advance but they are not able to take the goods due to the imposition of tariff. This is having a very bad effect on the industry and there is a loss of crores.
Pamma and Rakesh Yadav said that tariffs will harm Indian industries and reduce their competitiveness. Pamma and Chairman Rakesh Yadav said that the tariff policy of the US will affect the trade relations between the two countries and may lead to a decline in trade.
Pamma and Rakesh Yadav appealed that the US should reconsider its move and work to strengthen trade relations with India. They said that problems can be resolved only through cooperation and agreement between the two countries.¹
Pamma and Rakesh Yadav also appealed to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide maximum relief to traders in GST as well as provide loan facility at cheaper rates so that in the coming time our indigenous goods can compete with the indigenous issues and provide cheap goods in our country.
On this occasion, trade leaders Kamal Kumar, Deepak Mittal, Varinder Singh, Chaudhary Yogendra Singh, Harjeet Singh Chhabra, Rajneesh Bhayana, Suresh Jain and many other traders condemned the tariff imposed by the US.
