The Global Trade & Technology Council (India) (GTTCI), in collaboration with Poly Fibre World, organized a dignified and heartwarming commemoration of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on 25 December 2025. The event was held at the Poly Fibre World Farm in New Delhi and was thoughtfully combined with a Christmas luncheon, reflecting India’s inclusive cultural ethos and the timeless philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the belief that the world is one family.
The gathering beautifully blended the legacy of Atal Ji with the festive spirit of Christmas. Guests were treated to a specially curated spread of Old Delhi delicacies, fondly remembered as some of Atal Ji’s favorites. This personal culinary touch added warmth and cultural depth to the occasion. The Poly Fibre gazebos and cottages, set amidst calm and picturesque surroundings, were widely appreciated for their elegance, comfort, and hospitality.

The commemoration was attended by Ambassadors and diplomats from Comoros, Madagascar, Libya, Djibouti, and Venezuela, highlighting the global spirit of the event. Several distinguished personalities were also present, including Padma Shri Yogeshwar Dutt, Chief Advisor Rakesh Asthana, Dr. Ashwani Mehta, Shri Navratan Aggarwal, and Dr. Harsha Jauhari, among other eminent guests from diverse fields.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Rashmi Saluja, Chairperson of GTTCI, spoke about the enduring relevance of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and India’s long-standing tradition of respecting all faiths and celebrating all festivals together. She paid a heartfelt tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, describing him as “a Santa to India,” whose generosity of thought, inclusive leadership, and statesmanship enriched the nation in countless ways.
Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President of GTTCI, expressed his sincere gratitude to all dignitaries and guests for their presence. He noted that their participation added meaning and cheer to the celebration, making it a truly memorable occasion. Dr. Ashwani Mehta and Padma Shri Yogeshwar Dutt also addressed the gathering, sharing messages of harmony, unity, and mutual respect while honoring Atal Ji’s lasting contribution to the country.
