JK, Sept. 9 (ITN): The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has apprehended a clerk posted at the Treasury office for reportedly seeking and receiving an alleged bribe of ₹20,000.
Official sources indicated that the bureau initiated action following a complaint regarding a request for an unlawful favor related to official duties. Upon preliminary verification of the claims, ACB officers set up a trap operation, leading to the official being taken into custody while allegedly accepting the amount.
A formal case has been registered by the ACB, and further proceedings are underway to clarify the details of the transaction and examine any broader aspects of the matter.
