JK – Bhaderwah, Aug 1 : In a commendable move aimed at ensuring public welfare during adverse weather conditions, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhaderwah, Mr. Sunil Kumar Bhutyal, led a thorough inspection of local markets on Friday, despite continuous heavy rainfall across the region. The visit came in the wake of viral videos showing waterlogged market areas, prompting swift action from the administration.

Accompanied by Tehsildar Bhaderwah and officials from multiple departments, the ADC toured key locations to assess ground realities, address public grievances, and ensure smooth functioning of essential services. During the inspection, special focus was given to maintaining hygiene, monitoring prices of daily essentials, and checking encroachments.

The ADC also instructed shopkeepers to maintain cleanliness around their establishments and encouraged citizens to avoid unnecessary movement in low-lying, flood-prone areas.

In a parallel drive to enforce traffic regulations, fines were imposed on helmetless riders and several repeat-offending vehicles were seized on the spot, sending a strong message on road safety and discipline.

The local population widely appreciated the proactive steps of ADC Bhutyal, lauding the administration for being on the ground during tough weather conditions and showing commitment to civic responsibility.

Such timely interventions not only reassure the public but also foster a culture of accountability and readiness in the face of natural challenges.
