Ladakh, Sept. 8 ( ITN) : The General Officer Commanding (GoC) of the army formation responsible for the Ladakh sector carried out a comprehensive security review of forward areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) today, assessing the combat readiness of troops stationed in the high-altitude region.
Field commanders briefed the GoC on the current security matrix, force deployment patterns, and operational measures designed to neutralize emerging frontier threats. During the tour, the commander evaluated the swift-response capabilities of forward units and inspected critical defense posture along the border.
Interacting with soldiers deployed under harsh weather conditions in rugged terrain, the GoC commended their unwavering vigilance, discipline, and commitment to safeguarding national integrity. He emphasized the necessity of maintaining round-the-clock surveillance, robust intelligence gathering, and continuous operational readiness across all sector units.
