Srinagar, October 23 (ITN): Reported unresolved face-offs between Indian and Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh have triggered a fresh political controversy.
ITBP Director General Shatrujeet Kapur reportedly referred to confrontations at multiple locations while speaking at an event in Alwar, Rajasthan.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to clarify the border situation, while party general secretary Jairam Ramesh criticised the Centre over its alleged silence.
Meanwhile, the ITBP is strengthening its operational preparedness through specialised training, drones, counter-drone systems and improved high-altitude combat capabilities.
