New Delhi, September 22, 2025 : Dr. Deepak Gupta, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT), Delhi, has once again been recognized among the world’s leading researchers. He has been featured in the prestigious Top 2% Scientists in the World database, prepared by a team of researchers at Stanford University, USA, for the sixth consecutive year.
In the 2025 edition, released publicly on September 19, Dr. Gupta has been ranked:

  • 23,308 overall (single year impact)
  • 1,154 in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing (single year)
  • 4,952 in career-long impact within his field

The global list, first published in October 2020, identifies the top 2% of scientists across 22 scientific fields and 176 subfields. It is based on a composite citation indicator that considers standardized citation metrics such as total citations, h-index, co-authorship, and author positions (single, first, or last author).

The database, compiled using Scopus data up to the end of 2024, now includes more than 1 million top scientists worldwide. It serves as a reference point for objective evaluation of research impact across disciplines.
