Ganderbal, JK, Sept. 18 (ITN): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday flagged off the annual Harmukh-Gangbal Yatra from Naranag in Kangan, marking the start of the traditional pilgrimage to the revered Gangbal Lake.
A large number of devotees, including a significant representation of the Kashmiri Pandit community from across the country, gathered for the trek organized by the Harmukh Ganga Gangbal Trust.
Interacting with reporters, LG Sinha extended his greetings to the pilgrims for a safe journey and prayed for peace, prosperity, and well-being in the Union Territory.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by Member of Parliament Mian Altaf Ahmad, Kangan MLA Mian Mehar Ali, and senior civil and police administration officials.
